The Lord Jesus Christ Is Our Passover – 1 Cor. 5:7-8
Our Saviour Was Crucified On Wednesday not Friday
Easter is mentioned one time in your King James Bible and it is used correctly in reference to the pagan holiday but has nothing to do with the Resurrection. It was a 5 day period of immorality and was late in the month. Rabbits = symbol of reproduction Eggs = symbol of fertility
Good Friday only exist in the traditions of Catholicism.
It helps to understand the how days and nights were divided
Romans 5:8
Jewish Day began at sunset, closed at sunset.
Roman Day began at 6:00 a.m., closed at 6:00 p.m.
Our Day begins at midnight, closes at midnight.
Matthew 12:38‑40 Then certain of the scribes and of the Pharisees answered, saying, Master, we would see a sign from thee.
39 But he answered and said unto them, An evil and adulterous generation seeketh after a sign; and there shall no sign be given to it, but the sign of the prophet Jonas:
40 For as Jonas was three days and three nights in the whale’s belly; so shall the Son of man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.
Jesus stays 3 days and 3 nights in the heart of the earth.

WEDNESDAY THURSDAY FRIDAY SATURDAY
6:00 P.M. 6:00 P.M. 6:00 P.M. 6:00 P.M.
He (Jesus) was taken down and placed in the tomb just before sunset (which is the end of the Jewish Day), because the day that began at sunset, or 6:00 P.M., was a Sabbath for the Passover (a High Sabbath, not a Saturday Sabbath). John 19:31
Jesus arose sometime after 6:00 P.M. Saturday, the Jew’s sunset. this was the end of Saturday and the beginning of Sunday. Thirty-seven (37) Old Testament prophecies fulfilled.
The “Wednesday view” is supported by astronomy.
Thursday – Nisan 15 or April 15. (This is the first day of the Passover feast proper.)
1) This is the feast Sabbath, and the “high day” of which John speaks (Mark 16:1; Luke 23:54; John 19:31).
Matt. 28:1, Sabbaths —- plural in Greek.
2) This is the day when the tomb was sealed against His resurrection (Matt. 27:62—66).
Friday – Nisan 16 or April 16. (This is a day of silence for the most part.)
1) This is the day when the women bought and prepared the spices (Mark 16:1) This could not have been on Sunday, for Sunday began at 6:00 p.m. and they came to the tomb so early that it was not yet light. And besides this preparation takes about a day.
2) Luke further augments the account in Mark by asserting that these spices were prepared before the Sabbath, and then they rested on the Sabbath (Luke 23:54-56).
Saturday – Nisan 17 or April 17. (This Is the regular weekly Sabbath.)
1) On this day the women rested awaiting the first day of the week when they might come and anoint the body of Jesus
(Luke 23:56, cf. 24:1).
2) Except for this statement in Luke there is silence as to the events of this day.
Jesus is resurrected physically from the dead. Matthew 28:1-8
